The Breathedry waterproof smock is a lightweight technical garment, with an array of features which have been included with the arborist in mind
As a fully waterproof and breathable jacket, the AT4400 conforms to EN343 Class 3 and incorporates an increased back length to shed water, and a high collar with waterproof zipper, inner placket and neck protector. Inside the collar is stowed a large, adjustable helmet compatible hood - designed to be able to fit over a climbing helmet. The hood has a wired peak, a bungee volume adjuster drawcord, and a large hook & loop storm flap. The sleeves are of a generous length and have inner soft cuffs with thumb loops, plus hook & loop tab fasteners to keep the cuffs watertight. A large breast pocket with waterproof zipper can take a smartphone, and further large pouch pocket can be accessed by long side zippers. The pouch pocket also acts as a ventilation point, with mesh panels inside.
Further ventilation ports are concealed beneath zippers in the armpits, and there is an access zipper at the bottom of each side, useful when wearing a climbing harness.

View full detailsI am a female, size UK 10 & bought this jacket in a medium to allow for layers beneath. I bought it specifically for trail running here on the wet & windy west coast of Scotland where I run near the beach at our house. It is important I have a really well-fitting hood for the strong winds and driving rain, this one is excellent in design and flexibility in how I use it.
I wear a Ruffwear dog running belt to which our two dogs are attached, and on the rear of the belt, I have a water bottle in its pouch, this all sits happily inside/underneath the jacket and keeps dry, plus I can leave the zips located at each side of the hips open to allow the leads to run out before me and to the sides as the dogs move about. The dropped tail of the jacket is marvellous at keeping driving rain on the back of me off the bulk of my legs. The internal cuffs keep out drafts on colder days and the pit zips cool me down if I get too hot, in general, I have great flexibility in how airy I can make the jacket with the many zips as I heat up. The quality is very high on this jacket, great zips, and a roomy chest phone pocket, it is beautifully made & designed, (some clever designer has really thought the design through), totally waterproof and looks fab. The jacket arrived very quickly after ordering. Highly recommend. My only disappointing comment would be, that I emailed this company before buying the jacket with a query and no one ever got back to me.
