View full detailsFor £74+VAT you don't expect much but this is a reasonably competent small ATV sprayer.
What I initially thought was a good design feature is the flatter oval profile keeping weight low (?) - but since there is no well for the inlet to draw from this means you start drawing air and losing pressure when there is still 1/3 left in the tank.
Our previous one had this to some extent but being more square-ish shape about half as much was left in the bottom when it stopped working properly. So you are going back to fill up with at least 25% of load still in there unless your quad bike is not moving I suppose.
Another design flaw is the hole where inlet pipe goes to pump on the top.
It is basically flexible hose through a drilled hole in the tank.
It is not remotely a tight fit though so first time you use it spray will slosh out in copious quantities.
It ought to have some kind of grommet there but I soon fixed it with sealant.
3.8 litres per minute is only just fast enough to send a jet as far as I would like, maybe the lance is partly to blame again previous one could be set up like a water pistol ideal for spot weeding docks whereas this one only goes to narrow 'cone'. Most farmers would be better to spend a bit more if planning to cover decent acreage spot weeding. However it's Ok as a backup for smaller jobs.
