Essentials Blended Manure is a rich blend of concentrated manure with composted organic matter

It is ideal for making raised beds where existing soil is poor or for replacing soil that is tired or unsuitable for the re-planting of related plants. It improves soil structure for roots to grow.

Great for beds and borders, before sowing and planting, soil improvement, vegetable plots and allotments.

We strongly recommend using Levington John Innes Ericaceous compost for acid-loving plants like azaleas, rhododendrons or heathers.


How to use:
  • For beds and borders: Spread a 5-8cm (2-3") layer of Essentials Blended Manure beneath the branches of roses, shrubs, fruit trees and bushes. Allow a 5-8cm (2-3") gap around stems. This 100% organic mulch will help the soil retain moisture, suppress weeds and release food to surrounding plants.
  • Before sowing and planting: Fork in the Essentials Blended Manure to the soil surface, the bottom of planting holes, drills and trenches for an abundant crop of flowers, fruit and vegetables. Improve the soil used to fill planting holes and trenches with one part Essentials Blended Manure to two parts of the existing soil.
  • For soil improvement: Spread a 5-8cm (2-3") layer of Essentials Blended Manure over the soil surface and dig in. This will improve drainage and structure of clay soils as well as the fertility and moisture-holding capacity of sandy and chalky soils.
  • For vegetable plots and allotments: Spread a 5-8cm (2-3") layer of Essentials Blended Manure over the soil surface and dig in. This will improve drainage and structure of clay soils as well as the fertility and moisture-holding capacity of sandy and chalky soils.

Where to use:

  • Ideal for all plants.

Coverage:

  • 2m² on a 2.5cm deep ground coverage, or 1m² on a 5cm deep ground coverage.

Cautions:
  • Use in a well-ventilated place and avoid breathing in dust.
  • Always wear gloves when gardening. Wash hands after use.
  • Store in a cool place, away from the sun.
  • Open bag carefully and reseal after use.
